SAFETY IS FIRST PRIORITY


Safety on the job site and safety of workers, and facility workers and visitors is topmost priority.  Contractor is expected to follow OSHA safety regulations and take utmost care.   


Contractor's workers or representatives are expected to wear PPE as specified in OSHA regulations.


This is a hard hat job site and no entry without hard hat.  Proper steel toed safety shoes also must be worn.


Contractor is expected to check jobsite daily for any hazards and resolve them for optimum safety.  Construction manager should be informed of any safety hazard and Contractor is expected to coordinate with construction manager.


Contractor at a minimum must follow the Site Specific Safety Plan (SaSSP) and be sure all workers understand it.​

USE OF SHOE COVERS REQUIRED IN CERTAIN AREAS

Please note that according to temple sacred tradition,  the temple building has a no shoe policy.  Therefore all open to public or employee operational areas of the building require Contractor to use SHOE COVERS. 


The only area where shoe covers are NOT required is the actual expansion area under construction.  The existing kitchen area and other indoor areas require shoe covers.  The Grand Stairs entry and the 2nd floor balcony also REQUIRE use of shoe covers.  

 

JOB SITE CLEAN UP

Contractor will clean up job site daily.   Contractor may only use the open top construction dumpster on site for trash.  Contractor is strictly NOT allowed to use the building regular trash dumpster (closed top) located in the dumpster enclosure area.

MINIMIZE BUILDING OPERATIONS & UTILITY/SERVICE DISRUPTIONS

Contractor will look to minimize disruptions such as power disconnections, gas service disconnections and .such.  The building is fully occupied with ongoing operations including daily cooking operations in existing kitchen, meetings and events in the rooms and areas adjacent to the construction as well as worship services in the prayer hall area on the 2nd floor. 


Any intended disruption of service needs to be coordinated with the Construction Manager to minimze building operation disruptions.  

NO SMOKING

No smoking on jobsite.  As a religious facility there is no smoking allowed anywhere on the grounds.
